This decision records how the first reviewed product taxonomy was recovered. Legacy Data Gov
diseases where simplified=true, plus required parent closure, captured useful product intent for
search, selectors, clinical-trial matching, and the admin disease DAG.
Considered Options
- Seed from every legacy disease row.
- Seed only from source-derived approval/trial/publication mentions.
- Recover legacy
simplified=truediseases plus required parents, validate against NCIt, and issue a Bioloupe-owned versioned release.
Consequences
That recovery was a one-time bootstrap technique, not a runtime ownership model. ADR-0010 now owns the active decision: the checked-in, immutable Bioloupe release is the default source; the disabled legacy tables are reconciliation sidecars only.
