0001 Source Derived Disease Biomarker Spine
Source-Derived Disease / Biomarker Spine
Section titled “Source-Derived Disease / Biomarker Spine”Status: superseded by ADR-0002
Disease and biomarker identity will be populated from primary source mentions plus authority snapshots, not by importing legacy Data Gov disease/biomarker rows into canonical tables. NCIt-grounded authority claims can create canonical identities; MeSH supports aliases/search and literature indexing; legacy Data Gov remains a reconciliation sidecar for product intent, coverage, and gap checks.
Superseded because source-derived claims are evidence/review demand, not the owner of the product disease taxonomy exposed through q_diseases.
Considered Options
- Import legacy
diseasesandbiomarkersdirectly into canonical tables. - Mint a canonical identity for every disease or biomarker phrase seen in source text.
- Build source-derived claims, authority snapshots, and accepted canonical identities.
Consequences
The first implementation slice starts with approval/CDx source mentions because those terms already exist in the current graph. Fuzzy, MeSH-only, legacy-only, or phrase-shaped matches park for review instead of becoming canonical identity.
